EWF was present on the 6th of October at the first meeting of a new Erasmus+ project, CARBOREP, which took place in Cambridge.
Along with the consortium composed by the welding institutes of the UK (TWI), Portugal (ISQ) and Spain (CESOL), EWF will be involved in the creation of a European Harmonised Training Curriculum for personnel involved in car body repair activities.
The consortium efforts will go towards those areas and techniques where, for instance, the introduction of novel materials, such as aluminium, high strength steel or carbon fibre reinforced plastic, pose a challenge for the automotive repair shops.
The project started at 1st of October 2016 and has a duration of 36 months. It aims at avoiding the skills mismatch of the employers of companies involved in car body repair processes.
